Following features are available on the XDCAM Drive Utility that comes with XDCAM Drive Software.

Vegas Pro will export HD422 1920×1080-60i 50 Mbps to MXF format. Tell your Mac friends to download the free Sony MXF plug-in for their NLE if their NLE doesn’t support MXF. Vegas Pro will also export XDCAM EX to MP4 format. You may be able to simply rename these files from MP4 to MOV since MP4 is a subset of the MOV format. No advice as such—just an explanation. XDCAM EX, XDCAM HD, and XDCAM HD422 are 'Pro' codecs and not part of the basic QT system component installation package. So they are not available as a separate download package for systems not having pro apps like FCP, FCP X, Motion, etc, installed.

On Windows, remove any previous version of XDCAM Drive Software using the Add/Remove Programs tool in the Control Panel and then restart your computer before installing the new version.

When you install the XDCAM Software in Windows 8.1, please check 'Run this program in compatibility mode' and select 'Windows 7' manually before installing.
